Headline News - Sam Bankman-Fried Arrested And Charged, Blur Dominates Market Volumes and Trump Launches NFT Collection

Valhalla is in top spot by 7-day volume. CryptoPunks is second, Bored Ape Yacht Club is third, Mutant Ape Yacht Club is fourth, and new collection Trump Digital Trading Cards sits in fifth.

New collections Lil Kami and Mutant Hound Collars both experienced good volume, sitting 16th and 12th respectively in the weekly charts. The Memes by 6529 had another good week, sitting 7th overall, having seen just under 1,000ETH of volume. CryptoPunks V1 (Wrapped) went on a mid-week tear, with one wallet in particular performing multiple sweeps. The floor moved from around 4.9ETH to 7ETH. It’s since retraced back to 6.4ETH.

Blur has completely dominated market volume since its airdrop a week or so ago, seeing daily closes of around 2-3x more than OpenSea. Magic Eden announced a new rewards program which will provide loyal users with discounts and free NFTs. And OpenSea partnered with Ledger with a view to improve user experience through a more seamless integration of the two products.

Sam Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas and was hit with multiple criminal charges. He’s supposedly in ‘good spirits’ in a rat-infested prison. Prosecutor Damian Williams referred to the FTX collapse as 'One of the Biggest Financial Frauds in American History'.

Donald Trump launched an NFT collection which got Crypto Twitter talking. It’s currently top of the daily volume charts with an 0.18ETH floor.

Talking Point - Music NFTs

Last week, Sound.xyz, a music NFT platform, shared some impressive stats regarding their achievements during their first year of operation:

gm. Sound officially turns one today. Looking back at our first year: ↳ onboarded 240 artists ↳ dropped 709 tracks ↳ reached 6,200 unique collectors ↳ minted 33,771 NFTs ↳ paid $4 million directly to artists We’re just getting started.

They are an NFT platform specifically for musicians. They allow artists to create a community around their music without having to use streaming services such as Spotify, whist enabling them to make considerably more income in the process.

The platform is backed by Snoop-Dogg, and despite the bear market it’s seen its minting numbers double over the past 2 months, with a third of the company’s lifetime mints occurring in November alone. To date it’s paid out over $4 million dollars to its artists.
